Nothing is more important then protecting our neighborhoods and citizens by supporting and providing the necessary funds for our Police Force. Charlotte Mecklenburg and the surrounding communities are lucky and should be proud that we have some of the best Police Departments in the country.

Commissioner Lloyd Scher played an important role in the consolidation of the Charlotte and Mecklenburg Police Forces. This consolidation saved money for the tax payers because we only had one Police Force now operating in the County. His forward thinking made sure that the entire county was covered by consolidated the Police Force.

He has been endorsed by the P.B.A. (Police Benevolent Association) every time he has run for office.
